MODX is a booking and management software for beauty salons in Portugal and Brazil that brings together each professional’s calendar, online client bookings and team commissions in one place.
In a salon offering hair, nails and aesthetics under one roof, every professional has different services, hours and durations. MODX puts it all in one shared calendar, lets clients book at any time and shows what each team member earned.
The problem
Hairdressers, nail technicians and beauticians do different services with different durations. On paper, it is easy to book a service with someone who does not do it.
Every phone booking interrupts a service. After hours nobody answers, so the client books elsewhere.
A client who misses a colour or a long treatment leaves a gap in the day that is hard to fill.
Adding up what each professional did at the end of the month, with different rates per person, takes hours.

A booking page where clients pick services, a professional (optional) and a time, without creating an account. Several services can go in one booking.
Each team member has their own hours, breaks and services. Service duration can differ per professional.
Email reminders on by default and optional SMS with a monthly quota per plan. Clients can reschedule or cancel through the confirmation link.
On the Professional plan, take a deposit or full payment at booking through the salon’s own Stripe or Mercado Pago account. Payment methods depend on what the salon enables.
Set a commission rate per person or a default one. Each professional sees their own earnings and the salon gets a per-professional report.
Record each payment and its method: cash, card, MB WAY, Pix, bank transfer or payment link. MODX does not issue certified invoices.
On the Professional plan, sell service packages and monthly plans with included services, billed through Stripe or paid in the salon.
Visit history, notes, files and a per-visit technical sheet with colour, style, products used and preferences.
On the Professional plan, a visit-based loyalty card, automatic win-back of clients who stopped coming and campaigns by email and SMS.

Add the link to Instagram, your Google Business Profile and your salon website.
Reminders go out automatically and the dashboard shows occupancy, returning clients and average ticket.

MODX covers these for Portugal and Brazil. It has no stock control for salons, no app-store app (it is an installable web app) and does not issue certified invoices.
