What is the best software for a production company?
It depends on how you work. Check whether it covers the full path (brief, quote, contract, production, deliverable approval), whether clients can take part without an account and whether the team sees tasks and deadlines. MODX covers that path in one place. It is not a video editor or heavy file storage, has no native store app and does not issue certified invoices.
Does the client need an account to approve?
No. Brief, quote, contract and deliverables are sent by link and the client responds from it.
How does deliverable approval work?
Each deliverable is sent by link. The client approves, rejects or requests changes, and the decision is recorded.
Can I manage retainer clients?
Yes. Retainers are monthly plans with credits, with the option to roll the balance over to the next month.
Do contracts have e-signatures?
The client accepts the contract by link, with name, email and date recorded. It is not a qualified e-signature.
Does MODX issue invoices?
It does not issue certified or tax invoices. Keep using your certified invoicing software and check with your accountant.
